Job Requirements:
On-the-job experience in writing software for 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers in C or C++
Ability to understand electrical and hardware schematics and PCB layout
Thorough understanding of Hardware and support hardware design team
Work experience in programming in C/C++ and Python languages
Experience in programming for different communication protocols such as SPI/UART/I2C/CAN
Ability to use IDEs and Debuggers
To develop and support applications in PC for test jigs and test tools for embedded systems
Ability to generate Software Life Cycle documents
Proficiency in use of basic electrical tools, i.e. Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Soldering tools
Experience using version control systems such as RTC, Git, Bugzilla
Job Responsibilities:
Work with software development teams to develop and deliver embedded software for various electronic rail products and safety critical applications
Work with the hardware engineering team to integrate features that have a high degree of hardware/software interaction
Work with management to establish software timelines and ensure timely delivery of products
Work very closely with Project engineers to design and bring custom boards up from scratch, and exhibit strong cultural values that put the customer first, go beyond the standard, show strong ownership, innovate further, and show strong people skills.
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with Safety Critical Systems.
Experience with PIC microcontrollers.
Programming in QT framework.
Low-level hardware design exposure.
Experience in Embedded Linux.
